Addressing local energy poverty through the creation of energy renovation offices

The project, led by the Lorca City Council and in which EuroVértice participates as a technical partner, has the objective of promoting energy renovations of the municipal housing stock as a strategy to alleviate the energy poverty of vulnerable families in: Lorca (Spain) , Ploiești (Romania), Plovdiv (Bulgaria), Saldus (Latvia) and Gospić (Croatia).
To this end, ReHABITA Offices will be created in each of the cities, a one-stop service where municipal technicians will guide citizens who wish to energetically rehabilitate their homes throughout the entire process. Essential accompanying actions are also included to address the mitigation of energy poverty in a comprehensive manner.
LIFE ReHABITA will not act only at the citizen and building level, but, in accordance with the spirit of the New European Bauhaus, it will carry out urban regeneration by launching actions to adapt to climate change in the surroundings of the target buildings, following a process co-creation with citizens.
