Common methodology for the development of Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans in European municipalities
LIFE Adaptate
This project aims to create reinforced mechanisms to develop effective measures to climate change adaptation. Also, it includes the development of Sustainable Energy and Climate Action Plans in 6 municipalities from 3 EU countries (Spain, Portugal and Latvia); the implementation, monitoring and evaluation of those SECAP; the development of demonstrative pilot actions related to climate change; the test and demonstration of cooperation schemes among municipalities and the effects of public involvement and participation; the transfer and replicating of project activities at local level; and, finally, the development of local inititatives and the adoption of specific measures to allow adaptation and mitigation to climate change.
