EuroVértice has been participating as technical assistance of the Regional Development Agency of Murcia INFO on the SUM project (“Sustainable Urban Mobility”) for two years. This projects aims to the transfer and promotion of good practices on sustainable mobility in urban areas, which suffer from a high environmental and noise pollution level.
On the 27th February, a conference has held by the Municipality of Messina (Italy) – which is partner of the project- , on the aim of disseminate several good practices identifies in different European locations. INFO, as guess participating partner, presented to the attendees two selected good practices among those identified in the Region of Murcia: CESPA, an enterprise responsible for the maintenance of the public areas in the Municipality of Murcia, has a fleet of electrical vehicles; COMARTH is a company dedicated to the tailoring of electric vehicles which is having a raising success on the market.
The Regional Development Agency of Murcia will hold in turn a workshop on the 25th March, 2014. During this workshop, several good practices identified at European level will be presented in the region. The main objective of all these dissemination efforts is to enhance the replication of best practices in other European areas.
INTERREG IVC Programme is co-financing the SUM project. This programme aims to the support inter-regional cooperation initiatives, such as those undertaken by this project.
